Hey Guys! My mind is kind of drawing a blank on what to write about today for “Married With Children.” I have a few topics in mind, but wanted to think them out a little more before I dived into them! So today, you all get my OOTD that I wore this past Saturday to the FAB EMPIRE’S 7 year anniversary upon the BOOMERANG in Georgetown. I am always excited to help others celebrate their accomplishments, especially females and bloggers. Running a website is no easy task. Having a successful blog for 7 years now is commendable.
Before we jump into what I wore, I’m sure you all noticed that I took my twist/braids out already. That was quick, I know, lol! I had them in for 12 days and that was long enough. I didn’t dislike them as much as I thought I was going to. I was able to work out without having to worry about my hair and my getting “ready” time was significantly cut down. The few times I wore them out, in a high pony I enjoyed with causal clothes. I didn’t want to get super dressed up with them (you know, heels, tight dresses, etc) and didn’t really feel like ” Ashley.” Another huge reason that I took them out so fast is because, I have really dry scalp and need to wash my hair about every 5 days. I was oiling my scalp everyday, sometimes 3/4 times a day, but it didn’t help; the flakes still came. Along side the dry scalp, was new growth, yup, within 2 weeks there was noticeable new growth and the twist began to get fuzzy. My family and I were suppose to go on vacation last week, but decided last minute that we weren’t going, so it was time for the twist to come out. In my previous post I said I would never get them again, but maybe I would for vacation.
If you follow me on Instagram (@ASHLEYBRITTNEY ) then you know I’ve been battling if I wanted to go back to dark hair or go super blonde. Dark hair won this week. I dyed it dark brown. I like it, but it’s super dark. I don’t plan on having it very dark for very long. My birthday is in 2 months and I want to be a blondie then!
I wore all black everything to the anniversary party with a hint of sparkle. I felt a little “Elvira” ish with the dark hair and black ‘fit. I guess I wanted to be a sexy witch. Lol!
Here are the details of my outfit!! Hope you liked it!!!
